The California Swim Jig is more than just a twist on an old favorite. This jig combines all the benefits of a big swimbait with the fish-catching ability of a swim jig. The result is a jig that gets bit in a wide variety of conditions backed by a hook that can handle the largest of fish. If you're ready to swim a jig for big bass this is the jig for you!

The California swim jig received national attention during its inception and has produced monster bass from coast to coast. Armed with Dirty Jig's Signature Gamakatsu No-Jack Hook.

Quality service and product

Very pleased with the craftsmanship, quality components, and price point on these jigs. Price is on par, or less than box store brands of lesser quality. Service experience was immediate and Ryan was very approachable and friendly. Delivery was prompt. Very pleased with my order. Dirty Jigs will be my jig supply go to

Best swim jig

Won't use any other swimjig down here in Florida. I've tried others but the hooks don't hold up or they don't come through the nasty stuff we have down in Florida as much as this jig. Only thing I would like to see is a smaller more compact 1/8oz jig so when the fish are feeding on smaller baits.

California Swim Jig - Citrus Shad

Received a new order of Citrus Shad California Swim Jigs and was pretty disappointed to see the paint colors on the head have completely changed since the last time I purchased them. The new paint is a pretty generic baitfish color, it’s missing the bright blue and chartreuse that really made the old variation of citrus shad pop. Also, for that price, jigs should REALLY be hand tied.

Hey, Marshal!

Thanks so much for your honest feedback. We really struggled with the decision to change the head color on Citrus Shad. The color is used to come with was a custom light blue paint that wasn't used in any of our other paint schemes. It matched dead on! We decided this year to prioritize our products availability and production time lines, which sometimes comes down to making difficult decisions. In the case of Citrus Shad, we realized we either needed to stop making the color all together, or we could swap out the head for our Blue Glimmer color, which we paint several times a week. It was not a decision we took lightly, but we felt folks would rather have the color in that form than not at all.

Blue Glimmer still requires the same number of passes in the paint booth (prime, 2 coats white, airbrushed blue, blue pearl, and then 2 coats of clear), but it is more universal. All that to say, it is still a high end paint finish! I know it is frustrating when things change.

As for the skirt, I could say much of the same. Hand-tying skirts would likely cut our production in half if not more, making the product very hard to come by. Instead, we make replacement skirts cheaply available for 5.99 per pack of 5!

Again, truly appreciate your feedback, and value your judgement. Just thought it also deserved a response!
