Born and raised In Alabama and according to his parents he's been fishing since I was in diapers. He began his full time professional career in 2003 on the FLW Tour where he qualified for 6 Forrest Wood Cups. In 2008 Matt fished the Bassmaster Southern Opens where he won the Points Champion title and qualified for the Bassmaster Elite Series. Matt began his career on Elite Series in 2009 and during that time he's qualified for 10 Bassmaster Classics.
